Some news we’re excited to share. Shea Studio Interiors made MSN’s list of the Top 5 Interior Designers Transforming Modern Spaces in 2026, alongside four other designers shaping where home design is headed.
The article makes a simple point. Good design in 2026 is about more than how a room looks. It’s about how people live in it. Reflecting the people who live there is the idea Shea Studio has worked from for 35 years.
Here’s how the piece describes us. Founded by June Shea, our Northern Virginia firm is built on classic design with a modern twist. We love color, pattern, and texture, but never from a formula. No two homes are alike, just like no two people. And the moment we love most? When clients see their finished space and their faces light up.
The article also covers our recognition over the years. Honors from Home & Design magazine include Top 100 Designers and Top Specialty Space. We’ve also been recognized by Northern Virginia Magazine, Northern Virginia Living, Alexandria Living, NKBA and KBIS, and ASID. Our work has appeared in The Washington Times and The Washington Post.
There’s a new chapter, too. After six years alongside June, lead designer Bonnie Cowan is stepping into a larger leadership role as June steps back from daily operations. Bonnie plans to build on the studio’s foundation and grow our presence in luxury residential design across Virginia and beyond.
